Ecoquest air purifiersHaving an air purifier in your home can improve the quality of your sleep, and remove pollutants that can cause congestion and even illness.  But when purchasing an air purifier, is it better to buy an ionic air purifier, or a traditional air purifier?  The difference between the two is in how they remove pollutants from the air.  A traditional air purifier uses fans to absorb pollutants, and filters to weed out pollutants, which works great, but you have to replace the filters, and if you don’t, you put yourself at risk.  The ionic air purifier uses an amazing technology that relies on electrostatic plates applying a charge to the pollutants in the atmosphere.  When the charged particles pass through the unit, they are statically attracted to the collector blades inside the air purifier, and can later be wiped off and disposed.

In terms of cost, the ionic air purifier is more than a traditional air purifier, but because it doesn’t require filters, it can be more cost effective over a long period of time.
